The box contains essential oils and recipes to make homemade candle products and more.
The Simply Earth August 2025 box contains four full-size essential oils. You can learn more about each oil below.
Bergamot Essential Oil
Citrus essential oils are my favorite, so I was super happy to see bergamot essential oil in this month’s box. It’s very uplifting and smells amazing! It is also great for cleaning!
Citronella Essential Oil
I was also super happy to see citronella essential oil in the August box. I love citronella!
It’s great for repelling insects! I use it all the time in my DIY insect repellent spray.
Cassia Essential Oil
Cassia essential oil is derived by steam distillation of its leaves and twigs. Sometimes, the bark is also used to extract the oil.
Cassia essential oil can be used in cooking and cleaning. It also has many surprising health benefits, so I encourage you to do your research.
Timber Essential Oil Blend
Simply Earth has some fantastic blends, and I am always excited to see new ones in my monthly recipe box.
This month’s box included the timber blend. It’s made with cedarwood, cypress, mandarin, patchouli, Peru balsam, and sandalwood essential oils.
This oil smells so good. It can help reduce the appearance of breakouts and soothe the skin.
The box also includes a DIY candle kit, floating candle wick, beeswax sheets, six recipe cards, and labels for the essential oils and homemade products.
With the essential oils and other items included in the Simply Earth August 2025 box, I was able to put together the following recipes.
Patio Breeze Citronella Candle
Unlike the other candle recipes included in this month’s box, this candle is completely wax-free. It is a floating candle, which I think is perfect for summertime.
Floating candles always look so pretty at night outside on the patio table.
Timber & Citrus Bliss Wax Melts
These wax melts turned out really cute and were very easy to make.
To use these wax melts, you’ll need to place them in a wax warmer. You will also need a silicone mold to make them. I used a heart-shaped silicone mold, but you can use any mold that you have on hand.
Honeyed Haven Candles
These beeswax sheet candles are really cool and were also super easy to make. They are made with flat beeswax sheets. You just lay the wick on the beeswax sheet and then roll the sheet to make a long candle.
To use, simply place it in a candle holder and light the candle.
Sunset Trail Diffuser Blend
This diffuser blend is made with a combination of bergamot essential oil, citronella essential oil, cassia essential oil, and the timber essential oil blend.
It smells amazing and as an added bonus included in the box is a master recipe for this blend.
Fresh Escape Roll-On
This roller blend is made with bergamot and citronella essential oil, and the timber blend. It can be applied to your pulse points to uplift your mood.
Cozy Nook Candle
The theme of this month’s box is candles, so unsurprisingly, it included several different homemade candle recipes. I’m not a huge fan of making homemade candles because they can make quite a mess.
However, this box included a candle kit, which made putting this cozy nook candle together easy and mess-free.
You simply open the candle-making kit, remove the wick and wick sticker from the bag, place the bag upright in a microwave-safe mug, and microwave for a few minutes until the wax is completely melted.
Then, add the essential oils directly to the wax in the bag, stir everything together, and pour it into your candle jar.
So easy!
This candle turned out great and smells so good!!!
Final Thoughts
I really loved this month’s box. I had so much fun putting together the different recipes. The best part is that everything is all-natural and toxin-free!
