The theme of the Simply Earth August 2024 box is “candles.” It is valued at around $109!
The box contains essential oils and recipes to make homemade candle products and more.
The Simply Earth August 2024 box contains four full-size essential oils. You can learn more about each oil below.
Orange (Sweet) Essential Oil
Citrus essential oils are my favorite, so I was super happy to see orange essential oil in this month’s box. It’s very uplifting and smells amazing! It is also great for cleaning!
Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil
I was also super happy to see lemon eucalyptus essential oil in the August box. I love lemon eucalyptus!
It is great for repelling insects and deodorizing.
Cassia Essential Oil
Cassia essential oil is derived by steam distillation of its leaves and twigs. Sometimes, the bark is also used to extract the oil.
Cassia essential oil can be used in cooking and cleaning. It also has many surprising health benefits, so I encourage you to do your research.
Lava Essential Oil Blend
Simply Earth has some fantastic blends, and I am always excited to see new ones in my monthly recipe box.
This month’s box included the lava blend. It’s made with grapefruit, blood orange, ho wood, and sandalwood essential oils.
This oil smells so good. It is very energizing and uplifting.
The box also includes a DIY candle kit, floating wicks, beeswax sheets, a wick-centering tool, six recipe cards, and labels for the essential oils and homemade products.
With the essential oils and other items included in the Simply Earth August 2024 box, I was able to put together the following recipes.
Lemonade Stand Candle
The theme of this month’s box is candles, so unsurprisingly, it included several different homemade candle recipes. I’m not a huge fan of making homemade candles because they can make quite a mess.
However, this box included a candle kit, which made putting this lemonade stand candle together easy and mess-free.
You simply open the candle-making kit, remove the wick and wick sticker from the bag, place the bag upright in a microwave-safe mug, and microwave for a few minutes until the wax is completely melted.
Then, add the essential oils directly to the wax in the bag, stir everything together, and pour it into your candle jar.
So easy!
This candle turned out great and smells so good!!!
Summer Spice Wax Melts
These summer spice wax melts turned out so cute! And they were super easy to make.
To use these wax melts, you’ll need to place them in a wax warmer. You will also need a silicone mold to make them. I used a heart-shaped silicone mold, but you can use any mold that you have on hand.
Warm Honey Beeswax Sheet Candle
These beeswax sheet candles are really cool and were also super easy to make. They are made with flat beeswax sheets. You just lay the wick on the beeswax sheet and then roll the sheet to make a long candle.
To use, simply place it in a candle holder and light the candle.
Autumn Ambiance Diffuser Blend
This diffuser blend is made with a combination of orange essential oil, cassia essential oil, and the lava essential oil blend.
It smells amazing and as an added bonus included in the box is a master recipe for this blend.
Sunny Days Roll-On
This roller blend is made with orange and lemon eucalyptus essential oil and the lava blend. It can be applied to your pulse points to uplift and energize you.
Volcano Floating Candle
Unlike the other candle recipes included in this month’s box, this candle is completely wax-free. It is a floating candle, which I think is perfect for summertime.
Floating candles always look so pretty at night outside on the patio table.
I really loved this month’s box. I had so much fun putting together the different recipes. The best part is that everything is all-natural and toxin-free!
