The box contains essential oils and recipes to make homemade candle products and more.

Grapefruit Essential Oil

Grapefruit is one of my absolute favorite scents for summer. It’s very energizing and it’s also a great oil for cleaning. I like to add a few drops of grapefruit essential oil to my homemade all-purpose cleaner during the summer months.

Thyme Essential Oil

Thyme essential oil helps to promote healthy digestion. It also helps to support immunity.

Thyme essential oil can also help to alleviate menstrual cramps. I like to use it in my DIY bath oil for menstrual cramps.

Camphor Essential Oil

Camphor essential oil helps to support respiration and repel insects. It is also very effective at soothing sore muscles.

I like to use it in my DIY massage oil recipe as well as my DIY sore muscle relief roller.

Bug Fighter Essential Oil Blend

Simply Earth has some fantastic blends and I am always so excited when I see new ones in my monthly recipe box.

This month’s box included the blend – Bug Fighter. It’s made with a blend of patchouli, cedarwood, and lemongrass essential oils.

This oil smells so good. As the name implies, it helps to repel insects.

The box also includes DIY candle kits, floating wicks, and a wick-centering tool. Plus, six recipe cards and labels for the essential oils and homemade products.

With the essential oils and other items included in the Simply Earth August 2023 box, I was able to put together the following recipes.

Citrus Candle

The theme of this month’s box is candles so unsurprisingly it included several different homemade candle recipes. I’m not a huge fan of making homemade candles because they can make quite a mess.

But this box included two candle kits which made putting these candles together so easy and mess-free.

You simply open the candle-making kit, remove the wick and wicker stick from the bag, place the bag upright in a microwave-safe mug, and microwave for a few minutes until the wax is completely melted.

Then add the essential oils directly to the wax in the bag, stir everything together, and pour it into your candle jar.

So easy!

This candle turned out great and smells so good!!!

Camp Out Candle

This candle was also made using the Simply Earth candle kit and it turned out great as well.

I honestly can’t get over how easy and mess-free it is to make candles using these kits!

Bug Off Lotion Bar

This bug-off lotion bar is perfect for this time of year when bugs are everywhere. It’s made with the bug fighter essential oil blend which helps to repel insects.

To use it, simply apply it all over your skin to keep the bugs away.

Summer Nights Diffuser Blend

This diffuser blend is made with a combination of grapefruit essential oil, thyme essential oil, and the bug fighter essential oil blend.

It smells amazing and as an added bonus included in the box is a master recipe for this blend.

Tiki Torch Roll-On

This roller blend is made with grapefruit and camphor essential oil as well as the bug fighter blend. You can apply it to your pulse points to help naturally ward off insects.

Peaceful Patio Candle

Unlike the other candle recipes included in this months box this candle is completely wax free. It is a floating candle which I think is perfect for the summertime.

Floating candles always look so pretty at night outside on the patio table.

This candle is also made using the bug fighter blend which can help to repel insects.

I really loved this month’s box. I had so much fun putting together the different recipes. And the best part is everything is all-natural and toxin-free!
