Summer is so close I can feel it—literally! The weather’s warming up, and with that, all the little bugs start coming out of their hiding places.

So, I thought it was the perfect time to share my favorite natural bug bite remedy.

I love spending time outside with my family. We just bought a new house earlier this year, and it sits on a nice piece of land, but there are bugs EVERYWHERE!

It’s kind of ridiculous. We want to enjoy our time outside, but we don’t want to be eaten alive by all the bugs.

My son has already come in quite a few times from playing outside with huge, red, itchy bites. I put together this all-natural DIY insect repellent that has helped a lot.

The bugs hate it especially the mosquitoes.

But unfortunately, we don’t always remember to put it on. So, I created this all-natural bug bite roller for those days when we forget.

All Natural Bug Bite Remedy Ingredients

This all-natural bug bite roller bottle is made with 100% all-natural ingredients. It’s free of drugs and toxic chemicals and works great. The ingredients are listed below.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil is amazing for the skin and can really help to relieve itchiness. It’s also incredibly soothing!

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree oil can help prevent bacteria and other microbes from growing in a bug bite. It can also reduce swelling and itchiness.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil has a cooling effect that can provide instant relief from your bug bite.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil can help relieve itchiness and speed up the healing process. It also contains antibacterial properties that can help prevent germs from entering the body through the bite.

Just make sure you use organic fractionated coconut oil. This is the one that I use.

How to Make DIY Bug Bite Roller

This essential oil roller is simple to make. Besides the ingredients above, all you’ll need is a 10ml glass roller bottle. These are the ones I use.

The directions to make the bug bite roller are below.

For 10 years and up

Add the following to a 10ml roller bottle:

• 15 drops of lavender essential oil
• 10 drops of tea tree essential oil
• 10 drops of peppermint essential oil
• Fill the remainder of the bottle with coconut oil

For ages 3 to 9

Add the following to a 10ml roller bottle:

• 8 drops of lavender essential oil
• 5 drops of tea tree essential oil
• Fill the remainder of the bottle with coconut oil

How to Use Bug Bite Relief Roller

Gently roll the bottle between your hands before each use. Apply to the affected area as often as needed.

The label is formatted to print on the Avery 2x2in labels (#22806). You print, peel from the paper and stick right on the bottle. Or you can print on regular paper, cut out and tape or glue on the bottle.
