I have been in the process of going completely toxin-free with my beauty products. And let me tell you, it’s definitely more difficult than I thought it was going to be.

So many of my favorite products are filled with absolute junk!

Take for example my under eye cream. After researching the ingredients, I realized it contained endocrine disruptors as well as carcinogens!

Yuck…..no thanks.

So once again I turned to my trusty essential oils and decided I would make my own under eye roller. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I love it!!!

It actually works better than my previous eye cream.

But before I share the recipe let me tell you a little bit more about essential oils.

What Are Essential Oils?

Essential oils are the vital fluids of a plant, shrub, root, herb, flower, seed or tree. They are a highly concentrated form of the natural oils in a plant.

The oil inside of a plant operates as the plants immune system. They help protect the plant against predators and disease and they also aid in plant pollination.

Best Essential Oils for the under eye

There are quite a few essential oils that are good for the skin but for this DIY I wanted to specifically include essential oils for puffiness, dryness, and wrinkles.

I also wanted to use as few essential oils as possible because I wanted it to be a super simple (but effective) DIY. After careful research, I decided to go with frankincense and copaiba.

Copaiba Essential Oil

In my opinion, copaiba is one of the most underrated essential oils. It’s amazing. Copaiba is highly anti-inflammatory and works great for reducing puffiness. Copaiba is also helpful in regenerating collagen which is an awesome added bonus!

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and skin imperfections such as discoloration.

It can also improve the tone and elasticity of the skin. Frankincense is my go-to essential oil for pretty much everything.

DIY Under Eye Roller Supplies

A few things you will need for this recipe besides the essential oils I just mentioned are listed below.

• Sweet Almond oil (sweet almond oil is rich in vitamin E which keeps your skin cells healthy, protects your skin from UV radiation damage, and helps your skin look smooth)
• Glass Roller Bottles 10ml (I buy mine on Amazon!)

The label is formatted to print on the Avery 2x2in labels (#22806). You print, peel from the paper and stick right on the bottle. Or you can print on regular paper, cut out and tape or glue on the bottle.

Under Eye Essential Oil Roller Bottle Recipe

• 15 drops of Copaiba
• 15 drops of Frankincense

Add the above oils to a 10ml glass roller bottle, fill the rest of the bottle with the sweet almond oil, attach roller ball, shake and done.

How to use DIY Puffy eye Roller Blend

Gently roll in under-eye area and gently pat into the skin with fingertip. Avoid getting essential oils directly near the eye.

I prefer to use this at night before bed because it takes a little while for the oils to absorb into the skin.
