I have been in the process of going completely toxin-free with my beauty products. And let me tell you, it’s definitely more difficult than I thought it would be.
Unfortunately, many of my favorite products are filled with absolute junk!
Take, for example, my under eye cream. After researching the ingredients, I realized it contained endocrine disruptors and carcinogens!
Yuck…..no thanks.
So once again, I turned to my trusty essential oils and decided to make my own under eye roller. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I love it!!!
It actually works better than my previous eye cream.
But before I share the recipe, let me tell you a little bit more about essential oils.

What Are Essential Oils?
ultimate beginner’s guide to essential oils.
You can learn more about essential oils in myEssential Oils for Skincare
Essential oils can improve the skin in many ways. Some are good for acne and pimples, while others are good for fine lines and aging. You can treat a variety of skin conditions with essential oils.
Best Essential Oils for the Under Eye
There are quite a few essential oils that are good for the skin. You can click here to check them all out.
However, for this DIY under eye roller blend, I wanted to specifically include essential oils for puffiness, dryness, and wrinkles.
I also wanted to use as few essential oils as possible because I wanted this to be a super simple (but effective) DIY. After careful research, I chose frankincense and copaiba essential oils.
Copaiba Essential Oil
In my opinion, copaiba essential oil is one of the most underrated essential oils. It’s amazing.
Copaiba essential oil is highly anti-inflammatory and works great for reducing puffiness. It is also helpful in regenerating collagen, which is an awesome added bonus!
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense essential oil helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and skin imperfections such as discoloration.
It can also improve the tone and elasticity of the skin. Frankincense is my go-to essential oil for pretty much everything.

You will also need a 10ml roller bottle. If you don’t already have a 10ml roller bottle on hand, I recommend these ones or these ones.
Whatever you decide to use, just make sure it is made of glass. Plastic rollers should never be used with essential oils.
Pure essential oils are very potent and the plastic may begin to deteriorate and leach into the essential oils over time.
You should also ensure that your roller bottle has a metal rollerball. Again, it’s best to avoid plastic.
The label is 100% optional, but it does make the roller blend look super cute and, obviously, helps you know what’s in it.

How to Use DIY Puffy Eye Roller Blend
To use this DIY under eye roller, gently roll it in the under eye area and gently pat it into the skin with your fingertip. Avoid getting essential oils directly near the eye.
I prefer to use this at night before bed because the oils take a little while to absorb into the skin.
Also, make sure you are using pure essential oils. You can read this post to determine if your essential oils are fake or low-quality.
Fake essential oils can be very dangerous, especially if used on the skin.
I highly recommend Simply Earth, Plant Therapy, or Far & Wild essential oils. These three brands sell high-quality oils at affordable prices. I’ve been using these brands for years, and they are amazing!
