Aging is just a part of life you can’t do anything about. It happens to everyone whether you like it or not. It’s literally happening right now as you are reading this.

I’ve decided to embrace aging rather than worry or feel sad about it. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t try to minimize its effects wherever and whenever possible.

I practice sun safety, eat healthy, and work out. And the older I get, the more I do these things because I know how crucial they are to staying healthy and feeling young.

But aging is inevitable, and now that I am over 40, I notice more and more fine lines popping up here and there.

Rather than spend ridiculous amounts of money on expensive serums and creams filled with synthetic ingredients, I decided to make my own anti-aging wrinkle roller blend with essential oils.

I’ve been using it for about six months now, and I’ve definitely noticed a reduction in the fine lines I had been seeing.

It’s been working really well for me so I thought I would share the recipe. Below is a little bit about each oil included in the roller blend.

Anti-Aging Wrinkle Roller Blend Ingredients

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil is rich in vitamin A, which helps fight age spots and wrinkles. That’s why I chose it as the primary carrier oil for this roller blend.

Rosehip oil, also known as rosehip seed oil, is derived from the fruit and seeds of the Rosa canina rose bush.

It is very hydrating and moisturizes the skin very well. It is also rich in vitamin C which aids in cell regeneration.

Also, vitamin A and C are necessary for collagen production.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil is great for sleep, your hair, stress relief, and so many other things, including your skin.

Lavender essential oil is full of antioxidants, which help protect you from free radicals that can cause aging.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Like lavender essential oil, frankincense is another highly versatile essential oil. It can be used for so many things, which is why it is one of the best essential oils for beginners.

Frankincense essential oil can improve skin tone and also reduce the appearance of wrinkles. A 2003 study also found that it may reduce the appearance of sun spots as well.

Helichrysum Essential Oil

Helichrysum essential oil is well known for its skin healing benefits. It is used in many expensive anti-aging products.

Helichrysum essential oil can fight aging by promoting healthy skin regeneration and targeting sun spots.

It can be a little pricey depending on which brand you choose, but you don’t need very much for this roller blend and a little goes a long way!

How to Make Wrinkle Roller Blend

This roller blend is super easy to make and only takes a few minutes. You’ll need rosehip oil, lavender essential oil, frankincense essential oil, helichrysum essential oil, and a 10ml glass roller bottle.

If you don’t have one on hand, I recommend these ones or these ones.

Whatever you decide to use, just make sure it is made from glass. Plastic rollers should never be used with essential oils.

Pure essential oils are very potent and the plastic may begin to deteriorate and leach into the essential oils over time.

You should also ensure that your roller bottle has a metal rollerball. Again, it’s best to avoid plastic.

Simply add five drops of frankincense essential oil to the roller bottle.

Next, add five drops of lavender essential oil.

How to Use DIY Anti-Aging Roller Blend

To use this roller, gently roll it directly onto fine lines or age spots and massage it in gently. Make sure to apply it only to clean, dry skin.

I apply this anti-aging roller blend at night in addition to my DIY face serum and under-eye roller blend.

You can also apply this in the morning, but the oil takes a little while to absorb fully.

Need Essential Oils?

When making this wrinkle-reducing roller blend (and any other DIY that requires essential oils) it is very important to use high-quality, pure essential oils.

Not all essential oils are created equal. Some are diluted with carrier oils or synthetic ingredients, and some are completely fake and only contain synthetic ingredients.

So make sure the essential oils you choose are 100% pure before using. Not only do synthetic essential oils not work, but they can also be dangerous.

I highly recommend Simply EarthPlant Therapy, or Far & Wild essential oils. These three brands sell high-quality oils at affordable prices. I’ve been using these brands for years, and they are amazing!
